Assistant Professor of Communication Studies
Louisiana State University Alexandria seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication Studies with expertise in digital/mediated communication. The ideal candidate will research, teach, and develop courses in new media and information communication technologies and their applications in one or more contexts (e.g., social networks; emerging information technologies; the influence of new media on interpersonal, group, or organizational communication; computer-mediated communication; visual communication; media convergence) and be competent in the use of Internet software applied to multimedia Web design. The successful candidate may also teach mass communication or basic communication courses as needed. Terminal degree in Communication Studies or a related field is preferred.
