Department Chair - Nursing
Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA) is seeking applications for the position of Chair, Department of Nursing. The LSUA Nursing Program is accredited by NLNAC and includes 15 faculty members, and approximately 700 nursing majors, including both pre-nursing and clinical students. The Department Chair oversees the ADN and the RN to BSN degree programs and is responsible for the organization, implementation, assessment, continued development, and general effectiveness of the Nursing Programs to meet National League of Nursing and Louisiana State Board of Nursing standards.
Qualifications: Applicants should have an earned doctorate in nursing and a minimum of five years full-time nursing experience with at least three years experience in nursing education. The applicant must be able to interface with campus departments, participate in scholarly activities, and serve as a community liaison for the department and LSUA.
Salary/Position Status: Commensurate with experience
